Coming September 2025: Friendship Garden Preschool at the Merrick Jewish Centre 🌸

We are overjoyed to announce the opening of Friendship Garden Preschool, a nurturing and inspiring early childhood program located at the Merrick Jewish Centre. Beginning in September 2025, we will proudly operate as a licensed preschool under the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)—meeting the highest standards for health, safety, and quality care in early education.

At Friendship Garden, we plant the seeds for a lifelong love of learning. Our play-based program is designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and nurture meaningful connections. Children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and discover, all while growing into their most confident, kind, and joyful selves.

What truly sets us apart is our exceptional team of educators. Our staff is made up primarily of New York State certified teachers who bring not only expertise but also heart and dedication to every classroom. Team members are trained in CPR and first aid, and certified to recognize and respond to anaphylaxis with epinephrine (EpiPen)—ensuring that your child’s safety and well-being are always our top priorities.

Rooted in empathy and guided by imagination, Friendship Garden Preschool is a place where children are seen, supported, and celebrated. We provide an environment where every child can bloom at their own pace—encouraged to explore the world around them while building a strong foundation for future learning.
