At Friendship Garden Preschool, activities are designed to promote all aspects of a child’s development – social, physical, emotional and cognitive – as we seek to nurture a child’s curiosity and sense of community. Our school embraces families from all backgrounds and cultivates a connection to Jewish values and tradition. Families are partners in the work that we do, joining with children and teachers to celebrate Jewish life and learning, embracing the joy of Jewish life. Ideas and practices are explored from different perspectives, creating a richly textured tapestry that gives expression to our unique approach to early childhood education.
Over the course of the year together, we will:
- Celebrate Shabbat on Friday mornings with songs and blessings.
- Participate in Jewish cultural activities, including cooking and baking challah
- Learn about Jewish holidays through interactions with the clergy and interactive art projects
- Jewish values, like Mitzvot (good deeds) Tzedakkah (charity) and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness) are seamlessly integrated into the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Instill a love of Israel in your child
- Welcome all families as a part of our warm community
